Why Avara?

This non-basic hypochlorous acid isn’t like the others: The game-changing ingredient is an active component in many antibacterial products, and it’s also lauded for the way it balances the skin's microbiome, supports the fragile barrier, speeds up wound healing, and treats skin irritation without drying out skin. The only problem? It’s typically unstable, can’t be exposed to light, and definitely doesn’t play well with others. But after extensive research, a lot of trial and error, and a little serendipity, we landed on a formulation that includes two kinds of magnesium—magnesium sulfate and magnesium chloride to reduce inflammation—as well as squalane, tranexamic acid, and allantoin.
